Coldplay – Fix You (Reuben Keeney loves you remix)

Reuben Keeney (Toolroom/Joia) offers his latest big room remix of ‘Coldplay – Fix You’, a remix not to be missed!
Early support from Thomas Sagstad, Sonny Wharton, Hot Pink Delorean and more..
Biography:
As another decade comes around, a time of change and diversity descends on the music scene, a new breed of rising starlets are oozing creativity and breeding enthusiasm.
Ireland’s quickest-rising young Reuben Keeney is amongst the leaders of this band of young DJ’s and producers. Having brought 2009 to a close with the accolade of ‘Best New Artist’ in the Irish Dance Music Awards, not to mention being approached by the likes of Mauro Picotto and Steve Mac to add more remixes to his already massive repetoire.
Producing for labels such as Toolroom Records, and CR2, as well as DJ’ing alongside the créme de la créme of house and techno heavyweights such as Dave Clarke, Paul Woolford and Roger Sanchez, one would be shocked to learn that this electronic music youngster is still in his teens.
Despite this, the likes of Sasha, Carl Cox, Slam, Paolo Mojo and Luciano are falling over themselves to support to Reuben’s records with open arms, not to mention the clubbing mainstream welcoming the hits, with superstars David Guetta, Laidback Luke and Paul Van Dyk giving his records more than a few spins.
What’s next though? Now managed by Nic Fanciulli’s Club Class brand, and with the demand for Reuben’s music peaking, one can only imagine what the boy from a sleepy little Irish town will throw up to the electronic music scene next…

Moby – Lie Down In Darkness – Arno Cost Remix

Moby announces the release of his new single “Lie Down In Darkness”. Taken from his most recent studio album Destroyed (and self-released on Moby’s very own label Little Idiot), Lie Down In Darkness is an achingly soulful track of sublime melancholy and symphonic grandeur.
The track Lie Down In Darkness (which takes its title from William Styron’s strange dark novel of the same name) and accompanying remix bundle will be made available as a download only. The full remix bundle includes the original album version along with an array of remixes including, among others, Arno Cost, Photek, Chris Liebing, Michael Mayer and Paul Van Dyk.

Jupiter Ace

Gregory Ferguson has been described as Ireland's most successful house music producer. Better known as Jupiter Ace, his career was launched by the massive club hit “1000 Years” in 2005, catapulting him to No 1 in the Buzz and Cool Cuts charts and onto dancefloors around the world.
Dubbed “Ireland’s answer to Eric Prydz” by Mixmag, Jupiter Ace has proved himself time after time as the go-to remixer for big room, hook-laden house. His list of clients speaks for itself: Atlantic Records, Sony, Ministry, Positiva, Robbins Entertainment, Fatboy Slim and AATW to name just a few.
The Jupiter Ace sound is currently in high demand in the US. His remix of Flo Rida feat Neyo "Be On You" recently hit No 5 in the iTunes dance chart in the USA and Atlantic Records called upon his studio skills to produce the new single for their priority artist, Wynter Gordon (David Guetta, Flo Rida).

Using a wide range of the latest DJ software alongside an array of hardware including dedicated controllers, keyboards and mixers, his sets are highly infectious, combining tracks, samples, loops and effects to create a truly unique performance.
Dee has been spending more time in the studio recently with fellow Belfast producer Graeme Laverty resulting in his remix of Guy Gerber's 'Timing', receiving support from DJ's as far afield as Asia, Ibiza and S.America. 'Hold Tight' and 'Respiration' have been released on John ‘00’ Flemings JOOF V.2 imprint and his latest project ‘Vox Box’ is currently causing quite a stir amongst DJ's and record labels alike.
On the DJ front, the monthly 'KuulTek' mix series (http://www.ubradio.net/en/djs/dee-kuul-169) exclusive to Underground Bangkok Radio continues to blend the hottest tunes in Techno, Electro, Tribal and Trance into one seamless dance music journey. 2011 is shaping up to be a good year for the KuulTek sound!

Regis headlines Bump! Muzik Festival

Bump! Muzik Festival returns for its second edition later this month.

The gathering that tags itself as "the best leftfield electronic music festival in Ireland" kept things intimate with last year's debut, opting for a limited 600-person capacity affair. This year Bump! will expand and relocate to banks of the Shannon River, with a lineup featuring a number of techno luminaries. Karl O'Connor, AKA
Regis, is one of the most highly regarded forces within UK techno, both for his essential role in Sandwell District and the influential Downwards label, which he co-founded in 1993. His headline slot will be complemented by sets from Perc and Stroboscopic Artefacts'Inigo Kennedy. Drum & bass' next big thing, Stray, will also be a big draw, and the rest of the weekend will see a host of Irish DJs rounding out the schedule.

More info can be found on the Bump homepage @ http://www.bumpfestival.com/

Subject turns four with Luke Slater and Theo Parrish

Subject celebrates its fourth Birthday with a double celebration over two nights at The Twisted Pepper in Dublin this month. The first, on Saturday July 23rd, sees co-producer of Freerange Records and Subject favourite Jimpster head the bill alongside techno traditionalist Luke Slater of Ostgut Ton and Mote-Evolver, while Detroit based Theo Parrish headlines part two on the following Bank Holiday Sunday, July 31st. Parrish debuts for the promoter and follows in the footsteps of a range of international DJs who have played the club night over the past four years, including Marco Carola, Magda and Prosumer. Sunil Sharpe and Niall Cleary as well as Dogs Live offer support on part one of the birthday bash; Jon Hussey and Connor L feature on the bill for round two. DJs from the city's Galactic Beat Club will also be on the decks both evenings.

Octopus Recordings

Founded in 2007 by the Dublin/Barcelona-based artist Sian [a]Octopus Recordingshas been flexing its tentacles lately, getting an ever firmer purchase on the sets of discerning techno DJs with a taste for toughness. And Sian has been wriggling his way deeper and deeper into maze-like, sub-aquatic caverns: his new album Before Silencefinds him pulverizing his own material (plus remixes rom Jonas Kopp, Terence Fixmer, Gui Boratto and others) into 1013 discrete elements, which he rearranged in Ableton into a single, flowing session. (Learn more in RA’s interview with him.)
Octopus recently rocked Barcelona with an off-Sonar club night and a beach party featuring X-Press 2, Kaiserdisco, Paul Woolford, Ramon Tapia, Carlo Lio, Oliver Huntemann, Konrad Black and of course Sian himself; on July 7, they stick to the nautical theme, with an unofficial off-Exit party, held in conjunction with Flowthing, at a floating club on the Danube River in Novi Sad, Serbia.

Monegros Festival

Whether you’re stocking up on sunblock in preparation or just gazing wistfully at the lineup from afar, keep up with the Monegros festival—a massive affair held deep in the Spanish desert, some 200km west of Barcelona—with these top 10 charts from some of the festival’s headliners.
Now in its 17th year, Monegros isn’t just a festival; it’s an institution, one that draws a crowd of 40,000+ from across the country to hear 22 hours of music from the world’s finest techno, electro, hip-hop, dubstep, and drum ‘n’ bass DJs.
This year's event takes place on Saturday, July 23.

Kings Of Tomorrow - Finally (The 10th Anniversary Remixes)

Remixing a track that is as closely associated with a scene as ‘Finally’ is to house music is always going to a tricky business, but all involved have done a sterling job on treating this with respect it deserves. East & Young’s version played on a few week's back on The AudioGroove Radio Show retains the deeply emotional qualities of the original while reworking Julie McKnight’s seminal vocal around huge synths and a massive, peak-time breakdown that breathes new life into an unforgettable club anthem.

In Their House #09 - Supernova

http://soundcloud.com/defectedrecords/in-their-house-09-supernova

For nearly a decade Emiliano Necioni and Giacomo Godi have been producing together under the Supernova moniker, and have since become established studio wizards, remixing the likes of Kerri Chandler, DJ Chus, Cevin Fisher, Loleatta Holloway, Psycatron, Barbara Tucker and plenty more to devastating effect. However, their career has been marked by two distinct highs; firstly, their Sony BMG-released 2007 album ‘Downtown Underground’ and more recently their accidental collaboration with Kevin Saunderson on ‘Beat Me Back’, a track that pretty much sound tracked house-led Ibiza dancefloors last year and has refused to go away since.
Now, with a slew of fresh productions on the horizon and more remix work than ever being put their way, we thought we should get them involved in the In Their House series before they become too busy to ever leave the studio.

Dave Ormonde

Dave Ormonde has been DJing for more than 13 years. He started off DJing after being out in the club scene in Dublin and his growing love for this music has evolved since then. Dave Ormonde is a self thought DJ after buying his first set of decks in 1998 he thought himself to mix on a fairly baisic mixer and 2 decks. His mixes since then have evolved from straight beatmatching to melodic mixing and has progressed into harmonic mixing. His mixes consist of mainly classic dance from the 90s, although there is always somthing new if it fits in. He has a acute taste & knowledge of music from this era from spending most of his spair time flicking through & listening to 1000s of tracks in record stores in Dublin, England, and Europe. He has been known for his epic 6 - 8 hour sets when the mood takes him, his mixes are unplaned and unpredicable. He is now getting a small following through the Facebook group Transcend Dublin which he broadcasts from weekly, after receiveing great feedback from listeners in Ireland and abroad he now wants to branch out and reach more listeners. (last weeks recording http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/15681613
